Spiegel, also known as Špígl, is a classicist manor house located in Arnoltov, part of Březová town within the Sokolov District of Karlovarský Region. Constructed around 1834 by Gottlieb Henneberg-Spiegel, this historical monument initially served as a noble residence before becoming an inn due to its proximity to a major imperial road. Recognized for its cultural significance, Spiegel has been protected as a cultural monument since 1996. Its architectural simplicity reflects the classicist style of early 19th-century Bohemia, then part of the Austrian Empire during significant infrastructural and cultural developments.

The origins of Spiegel trace back to Gottlieb Henneberg-Spiegel, who commissioned its construction around 1834. The manor replaced an older estate that had become obsolete for noble use, serving instead as a functional component of agricultural operations. Situated near the newly completed imperial road from Karlovy Vary to Cheb, Spiegel's strategic location facilitated its transformation into an inn in the mid-19th century. This adaptation was part of broader infrastructural developments during a period marked by rising nationalism and industrialization across Europe.

Architecturally, Spiegel is characterized as a single-story building with an oblong floor plan measuring approximately 24x13 meters. The main facade features a shallow three-axis central risalit with a balcony facing the main road, while another side of the building also includes a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Lisen bands accentuate its façade in the ground level, and the structure is topped by a gabled roof. Originally designed to serve as a noble residence, some internal partitions were removed during later modifications for office use by Agrokombinát Sokolov.

Ownership of Spiegel has seen several transitions over time. Initially built by Gottlieb Henneberg-Spiegel, it served various roles until the end of World War II when it was confiscated and used by state farms under Státní statky Sokolov. The post-war period saw its decline as Agrokombinát Sokolov took over, leading to further deterioration. In 1993, a local firm named Stani acquired Spiegel with plans for reconstruction, although financial difficulties led to changes in ownership. As of 1997, the company was managed by Helena Palová from Rýmařov until her passing.

Throughout its history, Spiegel has witnessed several key events and curiosities. After serving as a noble residence and inn, it fell into disuse post-World War II, eventually being used by state farms. The post-revolutionary period saw the manor occupied by vagrants and prostitutes before efforts for reconstruction began in 1993. Despite these challenges, Spiegel remains listed in the National Heritage Institute's catalog as an endangered monument.

Today, Spiegel stands in a state of disrepair, with its surroundings overgrown with wild vegetation. The area around the manor is characterized by this untamed nature, and access to the site may be limited due to its condition. Despite these challenges, Spiegel holds historical value for those interested in 19th-century architecture and Bohemian history. Its preservation as a cultural monument underscores its significance, inviting visitors to explore a piece of regional heritage that reflects both the grandeur and decline experienced by many such structures over time.
