The castle Sedlec, located in the Vltava valley near Prague, is a classical and Empire building from the first half of the 19th century. This historical object is located at the address V Sedlce 7 / 19 in the city area Praha 6 and is remarkable by its architecture and rich history. In 1964 the castle was registered as a cultural monument, which underlines its historical and architectural value. Despite its cultural significance, the object is long-term unpreserved and is in an emergency state. The city of Praha 6 records a request for a binding opinion on heating the site, suggesting attempts to restore it.

Archaeological findings around the castle showed that the area had already been inhabited in the 12th and 13th centuries. In 2008, archaeological research was carried out which revealed traces of medieval settlements and findings from various periods of prehistoric and early Middle Ages. These findings provide valuable information about the history of the region.
