The castle was rebuilt in Baroque style for the property of the Habsburgs.

History of the Castle Brandés The castle was established in the middle of the 16th century, when Teschen princes from the House of Piastovce had built a summer residence. The Renaissance castle was built as a summer residence for the Princes of Teschen who spent their summer months here. Adam Václav Těšínský, Prince of Teschen and of the Great Hlohov, died in the castle.

Architecture and creative representation Brandys Castle was built in Renaissance style, but later was rebuilt in Baroque style for the property of the Habsburgs. The materials used in the construction of the lock are unknown.
