Petrovický chateau is a Baroque building located in Prague's city district Praha 10. It is a simple one-storey construction of a rectangular plan with orientation along the axis from north to south. The building is currently decrepit and not accessible to the public as private property.

Petrovický chateau has a rich history dating back to the 13th century, when a medieval fortress was built here. The first mention of the fort dates back to 1489, when Václav a Heřman Petrovští sold their salary to the petrovical village and the fortress to the Old Town Church of St. Linhart. In the 18th century the fort was rebuilt into a Baroque chateau, which was built by Franz Paceli of Adlersheim. He had the fort rebuilt into a one-storey Baroque chateau with a central risalite, broken down on the floor of a half-pillar with an end shield.

The chateau has a simple one-story rectangular arrangement with central risalite and pilasters on the top floor. In the 19th century the chateau was supplemented by other buildings. The owners of the chateau changed over time, among them were Nicolas Bellot, a French chemist who acquired the chateau in 1861, and Countess Marie Antonie Gabriela Sylva-Tarouca, the wife of Count Ernest Emanuel, who acquired the chateau in 1908.

In the 20th century the chateau underwent a number of dramatic changes. In 1923, 60 hectares of land was taken from the land, which was allocated to land reform to small farmers and small traders from Petrovic and Upper Mecholup. In 1942, the farm was confiscated for the purposes of the Gestapo. After the war Danner returned and in 1948 the farm was declared a national administration. In the 1950s, the chateau was entrusted to the State Property of Prague, which had offices in it.

In 2001 Roman Danner's niece Václava Kocíková won the chateau, which started preparations for repairs. In 2021, there was a change of owner, who became her daughter Mgr. Suzann Ishola after the death of Andrea Ishol. In the same year there was a partial demolition of the walls without knowledge of historical care.

Petrovický château is in a state of emergency and is not accessible as private property to the public. It is remarkable by its simple one-story construction of a rectangular ground plan with orientation along the axis from north to south. Its history dates back to the 13th century, when a medieval fortress was built here. In the 18th century the fort was rebuilt into a Baroque chateau, which was built by Franz Paceli of Adlersheim. The chateau has a simple one-story rectangular arrangement with central risalite and pilasters on the top floor.

Petrovický château is worth a visit even if it is in emergency condition. His history and architecture are remarkable and worth exploring.

Welcome to Petrovic Chateau, a beautiful Baroque monument, located in Prague district. You are facing a simple but impressive complex consisting of a one-story rectangular arrangement with central risalite and pilasters on the top floor. Look at the facade and notice how the lines of architecture are reflected in the surface of the pond that is part of the complex.

Let's move on to history and see how Petrovic Chateau evolved. The first mention of the fort that stands here today dates back to 1489. That's when Václav a Heřman Petrovští owned it. At the beginning of the 18th century, František Paceli from Adlersheim, who had a large reconstruction carried out and a Baroque chateau was formed from the fortress.

Note that the pilasters on the top floor are supported by massive pillars that provide the complex strength character. Now pay attention to the central risality, which is decorated with a slim skylight. Feel the light reflected from the pond level and creates a pleasant atmosphere.

Petrovic Chateau has a rich history that goes back to the 13th century. But perhaps the most famous person to connect to this place is František Paceli z Adlersheimu. He was responsible for rebuilding the fort to the Baroque chateau that stands before you today.

The interesting thing is that in 1923 there was an agricultural reform that changed the form of rural life around the chateau. You can only guess how it affected the lives of the people who lived here.
