Zásadka is a Renaissance castle ruin located in Sychrov village near Mnichovo Hradiště. It stands as a testament to the region's rich historical tapestry. By the late 17th century, the Valdštejnové family acquired Zásadka, integrating it into their estate at Mnichovo Hradiště. Despite its grandeur, the castle fell into disrepair over time, culminating in a devastating fire in 1790 that led to its eventual ruin by the late 19th century.
