The iron bridge over the Blanici River in Putimi, the county of Sand, is riveted by a lattice arch bridge from 1884. This monument is listed in the Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic and belongs to the village monument zone Putim.

The bridge was built on the site of the former ford and wooden footbridge. The Prague company L. G. Bondy a synové took care of its construction. The building was festively consecrated on 22 November 1884, which related to the development of infrastructure and industry in the Czech Republic during European industrialization.

It is a road bridge with registration number 1403b-1, located on the west edge of the village Putim on the third class road Sísek - Rajice. The construction is riveted lattice arch type with lower bridge, painted with light green color. The basic carrier system consists of two bundles divided into eleven fields using vertical stands. In the outer fields there are simple diagonals, while in the middle fields there are cross diagonals in both directions.

The bridge consists of five longitudinal and twelve cross-sections with iron reinforcement of Zoréz 30 mm thick. The iron construction is based on rectangular coastal supports made of granite blocks, which are in seven rows with a wider base. The supports are accompanied by oblique wings of quarry stone with concrete pairing and parapet plates on the upper edge. From the village leads a slant raid while before the bridge there is a tubular railing in stone columns.

Total bridge length is 26.75 m and width is 5.12 m The maximum height of the structure is three metres, while the lower cheek is approximately 4,90 m above the bottom of the river bed. At the top of the north arch is a plate with the name of the manufacturer and the company.

In 1988 the bridge was entered in the Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic. After the damage to the floods in 2002, the following year was repaired.

Bridge in Putimi is a preserved technical specimen of the late nineteenth century and is an important witness to the development of transport construction. Its specific riveted structure makes it an interesting destination for a visit.

Welcome to the Iron Bridge via Blanice in Putimi! History and architecture have spread under your feet, which has been standing here for over a hundred years. If you look up, you see iron arcs that are painted in light green, which gives them a striking yet elegant look. This bridge is part of the village monument zone Putim, where every stone talks about rich history.

Let's dive into the past and discover how this bridge originated. In 1884 this riveted iron structure was festively consecrated. The construction was supplied by the Prague company L. G. Bondy a synové, known for its engineering miracles at the time. The bridge was built as an important bridge connection for local residents and passengers, which shows its strategic role in the region.

Look closer and you will see the unique design of this arc bridge. Its riveted iron structure is an example of the technical skill of the 19th century, when railway and bridge structures were an important symbol of progress. The lower bridge with its light green colour provides the bridge not only an aesthetic bond, but also protection against corrosion.

Although specific personalities associated with the construction of this bridge are not known, it is clear that many professional hands and plans are behind its creation. This monument reminds us of the importance of engineering work and the art of combining functionality with beauty.

The interesting thing about this bridge is its resistance to time. Although it was badly damaged in 2002 after the flood, it was subsequently renewed and reopened to the public in 2003. This story shows the resilience and importance of the monument not only as historical elements, but also as part of the life of the local community.
