Tomáš Haffenecker

< p > Tomáš Haffenecker, sometimes also Thomas Haffenecker, (20 May 1669 Haldensee - 16 November 1730 Praha) was an Austrian architect and builder also active in the Czech Republic. < / p > < p > In 1705-1708, according to his project on Prague's New World, he built the "Golden acorn house" (figure number 79 on the corner of the streets of New World and Capucín) for stonemason František Jakub Santiniho-Aichela (brother Jan Blažej Santini- Aichel). The key part of these years was Haffenecker's new construction of the Paralan monastery with the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Nová Pace (1709- 1724), the youngest article of the so-called group of radical structures based in the ground plan on the penetration of oval units (M. Horyn, Dientzehofer, Praha 1998). Great according to his project he rebuilt the Romanesque premonstrate church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary in Doksan (1710-1720). Haffenecker is also the author of a number of rural churches, which are a variation of the subject of oval monorail with a tower in the facade and various shaped presbytery (Skála, Sepekov, Březín and others). In 1721-1725 Haffenecker designed and built (preserved signed alternative plans) the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Hejnice in the north of the Czech Republic, in Frýdlantsk or St. Mary Magdalene in Lázně Bohdaneč (1728-1730).
