Evangelical church in Rovečném, located in the village of Rovečné in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou, is a historical monument built in 1897- 1898. This church, which represents a neo-Renaissance style according to the design of architect Jan Šír from Nové Města in Moravia, replaced the original mosque from 1784, which no longer met the capacity of the local choir. The church has been a protected monument since 2006 and serves for regular services of the Czech Brotherhood Church.

The formation of the church was related to an intense religious and cultural rebirth between evangelical communities in Bohemia at the end of the 19th century. The architecture of the Neo-Renaissance style represented by this church reflects the search for cultural identity and national expression in the context of the growth of nationalism in Europe. The church was festively opened on 28 August 1898, four years after the arrival of the priest František Ilk, who worked here until 1926.

Architecturally, the church is a rectangular building with a saddle roof covered with copper sheet. The facade has a prism tower and a five-sided apse. The interior of the church is divided into the main boat and two side boats using cast iron columns, which adds to its uniqueness. In 1997- 1998 the interior was restored, followed by further repairs of the facade and tower. The organ was built by the company Tuček from Kutná Hora, which contributes to the cultural value of this building.

The church went through a series of key events that affected its history. During the First World War, two of the bells were seized for war purposes and new ones were not completed until 1929. After World War II, only the smallest of the bells remained, the new bells were only made in 1971. In 1998, at the festive 100th anniversary of the standing of the church, the tradition of joint ringing with the Catholic Church of St. Martin was restored.

Today evangelický kostel v Rovečném is not only a monument protected by its architectural and historical value, but also an active place of religious life. It is surrounded by a cemetery with a cemetery wall, which adds importance to it as a community centre.
