It was a place that had to build prestige and required enormous effort. But, after a long time when this place was abandoned and nature took it into its own arms, history burned again. In the ninth century, it began to rebuild and fortify here. The Slavic Castle has become a key point in defending the entire area. Along with other castles in the surrounding area, this place formed an impenetrable shield that protected the Strakonic boiler from raids and dangers.

Now pay attention to what you see around you, although at first glance it may seem that there is little left but grass and earth. But archaeology allows us to see through the surface. Notice the shape of the terrain and how the ground lines change. Even if you don't see tall walls or wooden towers today, the very structure of this place still smells of the layout of the old castle. The inner space of this fortified place was not random. He was deliberately separated. Notice how certain parts of space are separated from others. In the past, there was a division through a deep ditch that was lined with massive wood palisade. A hundred arrows were found here. A hundred spikes that don't belong to hunting animals, but to fighting. This find is a silent but very loud witness to the violent end of this place. Around the year nine hundred there was an event that ended the castle forever. Imagine that moment - a sudden attack, the noise of battle screams, the cracking of wood and dozens of arrows flying through the air. This finding shows that the fort did not disappear by gradual abandonment, but was recharged. It was a violent demise that interrupted a chain of generations living in this strategic place. This 100 arrows is the only remnant of the battle, which is likely to determine the fate of the whole neighborhood.
