Kostel svatého Františka z Assisi v Anežském klášteře in Prague is one of the most important historical monuments of this area. The architecture of St. Francis' Church is mainly characterised by its asymmetrical disposition of a two-boat church with three arches in each ship. Originally, the northern ship was connected to the convention building, while the southern ship was linked to the main ship. This arrangement allowed the clashes to enter directly from the Dormitory to the bleachers and to listen to the services separately from the public, which was key to complying with their rules. In the presbytery of the church of St. Francis there were different stonework marks that illustrate the arrival of a new smelter in Prague during this construction phase.

The ownership and administration of the monastery and the church involved various important personalities over time. After the opening of the monastery the royal daughter of Anezka Přemysovna was connected to the Minorite Convention during the reign of Charles IV, which was accompanied by extensive building modifications. These changes included replacing the wooden bleachers with stone and adding a profiled portal in the west front of the church.

The key events in the history of this building were the opening of the monastery Anezka Přemyslová in 1234, the grant of privileges by Pope Gregory IX. in 1237 and the reconstruction of the church of St. Francis in 1986, when this building was made available to the public.
