Kostel svatého Jana Nepomuckého ve Starých Křečanech Church

Staré Křečany is known from written sources since 1485, when they were part of the Romanian parish. This pathological situation has been suffered by local believers for more than two centuries: the journey to worship took more than an hour and, according to the историческиProcessing records, was becoming increasingly subject to complaints from the subjects. But Rumburg's vicar did not want to hear about the reduction of his parish district and actively resisted resistance.

The determination of Marie Ernestina of Harrach, owner of the Schluknovsky estate, became a resolution. In a surprisingly quick act, she ordered her captain to pick up a wooden makeshift church in Křicany. The construction lasted only a month - from 20 March to 21 April 1732 - and was carried out in secret. The first administrator became the chaplain chaplain. While Rumburi's captain tried to remove the building for four years, the social position of the Countess made his efforts futile.

Since 1736, a permanent stone church was built according to the design of Johann George Aichbauer. The work lasted five years and was completed in 1741. The construction became a lighthouse of local identity: altars were set in the roads, which represent - according to the available evidence - the only realized work of the famous Baroque architect Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt in Šluknovský excerpt. Immediately after the church was completed, a late Baroque rectory was established in front of him (descriptive number 32). In 1795 the premises were decorated by the fenced wall of the cemetery and a proud entrance gate; A quarter of a century later, in 1822, a cross was erected between the rectory and the church on a classical pedestal and a cross road station was established throughout the wall.

The building has retained architectural purity of the time: it is a late baroque one-ship building with square presbytery and sacristy on the sides. The facade of the украшает prism tower with semi-rounded windows at the top. The interior is furnished in first-class rococo: the main altar bears the painting of St. John Nepomuk, on which apparently Dominik Kindermann (1739-1817) worked; side altars are equipped with pictures of the Birth of the Lord and the Resurrection of Lazarus. The ecclesiastical room is decorated with the relief of evangelists, and the church has a monumental cut organ of the same style. Two Baroque confessions from the 2nd third of the 18th century are worth a special price.

There is also a stroke - square building with a Mansard roof - and sets of statues, the most famous of which is the statue of St. John Nepomuk with angels signed by Franz Siebra (1771). The cemetery was used until the end of the 19th century; gradually fell into oblivion, especially after 1945, when the original German population was displaced. Since 1966, the church and its rectory have been protected as cultural monuments. It is currently under way and has been partially repaired by a new owner, while other parts of the Baroque complex are still waiting for proper maintenance. "'
