The Church of Saint George in Luková near Manětína in northern Bohemia was built in the middle of the fourteenth century, according to preserved records in the year 1352. It is protected as a cultural monument, yet today it is in a state of disrepair. An unusual exhibition of sculptures, which has been held in the church since 2012, is meant to help with its preservation.
The history of the building was marked primarily by fire. In 1796, a devastating fire struck the church, which at that time had a Baroque appearance, and only the vault of the presbytery and sacristy survived. The bells and organ were also damaged, and the church was then given a small bell from the hospital in Manětína.
