St. Nicholas Church in Nemčice, district Prachatice, is a parish temple of the local Roman Catholic parish and at the same time a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The building surrounded by a cemetery surrounded by walls was originally dedicated to St. Wenceslas.

The oldest layers of the church come from the mid-13th century. Significant reconstruction took place between 1385 and 1390, when a double ship was created and a new priesthood was built. More than a hundred years later, in the period 1515-1521, the construction recorded a late Gothic reconstruction. In the 18th century there were further modifications: the building of the krucht in 1742 and the construction of the tower in 1764.

The architectural character of the priesthood corresponds to the Gothic tradition with three fields of cross vaults. Jindřich's coats of arms from Rožmberk and Magdalene from Šternberk are placed in the clamping vaults, indicating the influence of the local nobles. The interior is richly equipped with altars and statues of various periods. The main altar in the Baroque style dates back to the late 17th century and carries the Gothic statue of Madonna from the 1990s - one of the most valuable artifacts of the church. Next to it stands a late Gothic wing altar from the first half of the 16th century. The other altars are the altar of St. John Nepomuk with a statue from 1758 and the altar of St. Linhart from the first half of the 18th century. There are two side altars from the late 17th century and a pulpit of the same period. In the hall there is an altar of St. Isidor from the beginning of the 18th century. The Eucharist sanctuary and statues of St. Luke and St. John the Evangelist dates back to 1764.

Fifteen tombstones from the 15th and 16th centuries prove long service to the local community. The building remains an active temple of the parish and an important cultural monument with a rich architectural history.

In the choir there is also a late Gothic winged altarpiece from the first half of the 16th century. It is complemented by two side altars from the first half of the 18th century. The first is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk and his statue dates from 1758. The second belongs to Saint Linhart.
