Monuments – Hořice

Hořice je město s bohatou historií a tradicemi, nacházející se v okrese Jičín v Královéhradeckém kraji. Je známé díky svému průmyslu hořických trubiček, který má dlouhou tradici, a sochařsko-kamenické škole, nejstarší ve svém druhu v Evropě. Každoročně se zde koná motocyklový závod 300 zatáček Gustava Havla. Město má přibližně 8 500 obyvatel a je často označováno jako Hořice v Podkrkonoší. ### Historie Území bylo osídleno již od pravěku, což dokládají archeologické nálezy. První písemnou zmínku o místě máme z roku 1143. Během husitských válek se zde v roce 1423 odehrála bitva, kterou vyhrál Jan Žižka.
