Památník královské přísahy, located on the Royal meadow in Jihlava, is a small Renaissance monument from 1565. It recalls Ferdinand I. Habsburg's solemn oath of 30 January 1527. The monument has a quadrilateral structure with a triangular shield, a ledge and Pillasters. Its decoration includes embossing of the imperial apple between two crowns and a shield with Czech, Hungarian and Austrian characters.

The memorial was built in 1565 as a reminder of the oath of the Austrian archduke and the new Czech king Ferdinand I. Habsburg, who promised to honor the freedoms and privileges of Czech states and the entire Czech Kingdom. The monument was the tall stonemason Štěpán Tettelmayer.

The architecture of the monument reflects the late Renaissance, which is evident on its quadrilateral structure with a triangular shield and a ledge decorated by Pillasters. On the front wall there is a niche protecting a marble plate with reliefs under which is the Latin inscription of the royal oath.

The monument was damaged by floods and repaired several times. In 1640 and again in 1830 the repairs took place while the general review took place in 1859. The memorial was then dismantled, cleaned and assembled on a new granite pedestal. Four paws were installed to protect against flooding.

The monument is located near the Prague Bridge, where the design and street above the river Jihlava named Royal Hill emphasize its historical importance. It is protected as a real cultural monument and accessible to visitors who want to learn more about regional history and the Habsburg dynasty.

Today, Památník královské přísahy stands as a witness to a major event in Czech history. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the past and appreciate the architectural details of the Renaissance monument, which underlines the worship and preservation of cultural values.
