Welcome to Boršov, an area full of history and beauty. You are standing right across from the monument of liberation, which is not only an architectural pearl, but also a living witness to the important events of our country. Look up and you'll see a granite pylon whose top is decorated with sandstone sculpture bowls with flames of freedom. This monument is not only a monument to the liberation of Czechoslovakia in 1945, but also a symbolic place where history and the present meet.

Let's dive into his history. In 1945 Czechoslovakia was liberated from the Nazi occupation, an event that marked a new era of freedom and independence. It was during this crucial period that this monument was built as a permanent symbol of the liberation and determination of our people. Although the architects who created this monument are unknown, their work speaks clearly of profound importance and emotional impact of liberation. In 1987 the monument was recognized as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic, which makes it an even more valuable part of our heritage.

Now pay attention to the details. The monument is built from granite and sandstone, materials known for their resilience and durability, which symbolizes the solid foundations of our society. At the top of the monument, note the metal relief of the Czech Republic and the quote of Jan Amos Komenský, who reminds us of the importance of education and freedom of thought. This monument is not only a monument to the past, but also a place for reflection on the values that are at the heart of our society.

J. A. Komenský, an educational reformer and a philosopher whose ideas about freedom and knowledge are still relevant today, is first among the key personalities associated with this place. The second personality is Edvard Beneš, who as President of Czechoslovakia led the country to liberation and a new beginning after the war.

The interest of this place is not only its historical importance, but also its location. It is located opposite the kindergarten and library, which symbolizes the connection between the past, the present and the future. This monument is therefore not only a monument for today, but also an inspiration for tomorrow.

Invitation to further explore Boršova I leave you with the hope that this monument to liberation and its history has opened your eyes to the rich heritage of our country. Be sure every rock and relief has a story to tell. Let this place serve as a role model for future generations to remember the values of freedom, courage and hope. Thank you for your visit and remember to look around - every place has its story.
