City Hall in Jeseník is a historic building that serves as the seat of the city office. Its original core was created in Renaissance style in 1610. The current form of the building is the result of the reconstruction from 1710. This important historical entity has been the seat of the city's representation for centuries, including the council, council and speedster.

The original building was built in a period of Central European conflicts, including the Thirty Years' War, and in a period of religious and political change. A few decades after the town hall was established, a fire hit, leading to later reconstructions.

Architecturally, it is a single-storey object of almost square ground plan with dimensions 18.8 x 23.5 meters. The construction is divided into three paths with medium mazhaus. The facades are regularly rhythmised by window axes; The shorter front has five, while the longer one has six. On the top floor, the windows are framed by the mould paneling and on the ground floor, there is a shallow horizontal bosání. A significant element is a simple mannerist porticus with a broken triangular front. The entire building is covered by a wall roof from the local slate, which is supplemented by small ventilation arc loops. The eight-sided mannerist tower with a baroque three-stage onion helmet appears from the central part of the roof.

The history of City Hall is linked to the important events of the city. In addition to the headquarters of the city administration, the building served for inquisition negotiations during the witch trials. Another interesting thing is the condition of the window openings on the ground floor, which were walled up in the 18th and 19th centuries. Only small ventilation vents and a single window located on the right side of the entrance remained from the original openings.

At present, the town hall is primarily performing representation functions and is based in the city office Jeseník. Historical architecture and connection with the history of the city make it an interesting destination for visitors. This monument is worth a tour of anyone looking for authentic traces of the past in the heart of the city.

Welcome to Jeseník! You are standing in front of one of the most famous monuments of our city - the city hall, which attracts visitors throughout the whole quarter of the century with its charm and historical significance. Look up: a single-storey facade with a mannerist porticus and an elegant Baroque tower that rises into the sky as a testament to past times.

City Hall in Jeseník has a long history. Originally there was construction in the style of the Silesian Renaissance, whose core was built in 1610. This time has brought many changes and development for our city. Although the fire caused damage around 1650, the town hall did not stop - it was rebuilt in 1710 to its present form. This building served as a meeting place for local authorities and council where important decisions were made for the life of our ancestors.

Now pay attention to the architecture. Note the almost square ground plan with dimensions 18.8 x 23.5 meters. Porticus is attractive in his mannerist form and the tower with onion helmet adds nobility to the building. If you look inside the facade, you might be interested in the atmosphere of the ancient office.

Although particular historical figures associated with this city hall are not known, its history is full of interesting stories. It served as a place of inquisition negotiations where important matters of urban life and justice were addressed.

The interesting feature of this monument is its ability to preserve the original core from 1610 even after more than three centuries. It is a testament to the lasting spirit and determination that characterized our ancestors.

If we look into the future, we will invite you to explore other historical sites Jeseníka. Every corner has a story, and it's waiting to be shared with you. Now, let us remember this moment and continue to explore our beautiful city. God!

Tips for visitors

For the best visual experience, we recommend a visit on bright days, when sunlight highlights historical details of the facade. The best times are spring and summer months, when the weather is the most pleasant for watching architecture from the street.

The location is available both by personal means of transport and by public transport. Current information about connections and travel is recommended in search engines or transport pages.

If you're interested in photography, the best view of the building is directly from the pavement in front of the building. The architectural elements of the Silesian Renaissance are best visible in daylight that reveal the shape and structure of the building.

For a pleasant experience we recommend taking a camera or mobile phone to capture the historical appearance of the building. It's good to have water and possibly sun protection.

It is advisable for families with children to wear comfortable shoes to move in Jeseník. Walking around historical buildings can be interesting for all age groups.
