Radnice v Roudnici nad Labem is a cultural monument located on Charles Square in central Bohemia. This Neo-Renaissance building, built in 1869, belongs to the urban monument zone Roudnice nad Labem, declared in 1992. The town hall is characterized by rich history and architectural elements that make it unique.

The original Renaissance Town Hall was built on the town square in the 16th century, but after a 30-year war it suffered considerable damage. In 1654 it was repaired by Prince Václav Eusebius Popel z Lobkovic along with other local buildings. This old town hall served until 1869 when it was demolished after the construction of the new building.

The new building was designed by Václav Kuželovský on the site of two older houses. Between 1899 and 1900, the building was supplemented by a secondary extension with a decorative facade according to the design of Alois Samohrda. Construction work was carried out by Jan Brodský from Roudnice, which extended the town hall to the second floor. On the facade of the extension there are frescoes with allegorical characters "Self administration of the country" and "Justice," the work of L. Nováka.

The town hall is a walled three-wing two-storey building with a saddle roof located in the middle of the south side of the square. The facade has 13 window axes and is equipped with rustic on the ground floor. From the middle part of the building comes a three-axis risalite with a semi-rounded portal entering the internal passage. The windows are finished with semi-circular arches and in the central part of the building there are small balustrady balustrados.

In the 1920s, the building was modernised, including modification of the meeting hall according to the design of Karel Rozum. Neighborhood house No. 22 is also a monument protected building, a functionalist building of the savings bank built in 1929-1930, according to Milan Babushka's design.

Today the town hall in Roudnice nad Labem attracts its history and architectural elements that make it unique. It is a place where you can feel the spirit of the past and appreciate the artistic details that contribute to its importance as cultural monuments. For tourists the town hall is an ideal place to explore the history and architecture of Roudnice nad Labem.
