Welcome to the historical monument of Třebotov Chateau! You are standing in front of an impressive Renaissance object in Prague-West, which is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. In front of you you have a carefully restored fortress with a characteristic square arrangement and arcades that surround the inner courtyard. This property is now used as a luxury accommodation for organizing weddings and social events.

The fortress has a rich history that goes back to 1374. The first written mention of Trebov appears in the papers of the same year. In the early 15th century, the fortress was rebuilt by Oldřich Medek from Valdek to a water fortress, making it a strategically important place for defence and life. In 1622, Jan's older Ledčanski from Popice's fortress was confiscated, which affected further ownership and history of the building.

Look up at the square structure with arcades surrounding the courtyard. These details are witnessed by the Renaissance era, when the fort was significantly rebuilt and improved. The inner space is full of history, but today also modern comforts waiting for guests.

Key personalities associated with Třebotov include Oldřich Medek of Valdek, whose reconstruction in the 15th century turned the fortress into a water wall, and John the Elder Ledčanski of Popic, who became owner of the post-confiscation in 1622. In 1785, the fortress began to serve as a rectory, indicating its adaptability and importance to the local community.

The interesting thing is that at the end of the 19th century, the clock tower with onion fighting was removed, thus returning the fort to its original strength. This detail reflects the attempt to preserve the historical appearance and functionality of the object.

In 1942, a tragic event occurred when the building partially burned down. However, thanks to the subsequent reconstruction started by Mr Sedláková in 2001, Třebotov returned to his original great and became an attractive place for visitors.
