Chateau Hořovice, located in the city of Hořovice in the district of Beroun, Středočeský kraj, is a Baroque pearl built on the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. This historical object is famous for its rich architectural past and for the important personalities who visited it. Today it serves as a cultural centre for the public and is protected as a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The chateau was built at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, when it was built by Bruntal from Vrbno, a noble family who settled in Hořovice after the post-white mountain confiscation. The first owner was Bernard Ignác of Martinique, but the real construction of the new chateau began only with the arrival of the grounding of Bruntalště from Vrbno. The family lived in the chateau for six generations, from 1690 to 1852. During the post-white mountain reaction, the chateau was abandoned and later rebuilt as a one-story rectangular building with a chapel on the first floor.

It is architecturally characterized by the Baroque style, which was modified several times during the 18th and 19th centuries. Originally, a single-storey building was extended to side wings, giving it a ground plan similar to the letter H. Significant modifications included the extension of the risalita with fresco by Jan Ferdinand Schor and the park adjustment by Matyas Bernard Braun, which gave the chateau its distinctive character. The park is decorated with statues by Braun and a wall with metal bars.

After 1852 he went to the hands of the Hessen cursor Friedrich Wilhelm I., whose descendants owned him until 1945. During this period the chateau was further modified, most recently shortly before World War II. Among the key events are the visit of emperor Karl VI in 1732, when at the invitation of Marie Aloisie Bruntal, born Kinski, was accommodated and devoted to hunting in nearby forests.

Today it is administered by the National Heritage Institute and is open to the public. There are various social events on his land, including weddings. The Hořovice Chateau is not only a historical monument, but also a lively cultural centre that attracts visitors from all over the world.
