The Church of the Holy Name Jesus in Křišťanov was founded between 1798 and 1799 as part of the gradual modernisation of the Czech skeletal fund during the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. He was ordained on November 17, 1799 and has been serving the faithful ever since. By the end of 2019 he was a parish church of his own parish Křišťanov. Today he belongs as a filial church of the parish Zbytina. The construction is a classic architectural style that replaced baroque processing at the time.

The most important modifications passed the church in the 19th century. In 1843 it was completely painted, thus restoring its interior decoration. During the same period there was also an increase in the sacristy by a floor which thus became a separate oratory chapel used for additional priesthood prayers.

Architecturally, it is a single-ship oriented construction with presbyterium ended by a tripod. The western facade, traditionally facing west, is simple and proportionate - without unnecessary decoration. The dominance of the facade is a low hall dedicated to a wooden tower with a specific Mansard roof. The interior itself is designed with the consistency required by the classicism - flat ceiling without richly членné lamps. The church ship is 14.9 metres long and 9.4 metres wide. In its western part there is a wooden circle carried by four pillars that support it. From presbyterium, the ship is separated by a triumphant arch, as was customary. Presbyterium has a depth of 8.1 meters and a width of 6.5 meters. On the north side of the church, a storey sacristy is attached - the only space in the building arched by a valentine vaults with sects. The roofs are sorted: the ship has a roof of saddle, presbyterium ends in the valba, as well as the western hall and sacristy. The roof cover consists of a traditional shindle. The facades retain the simplicity of classicism - they are smooth, broken down only by windows and only coloured with a Fabonic ledge.

The church's facilities indicate gradual cultural changes. The main altar is the rococo origin, which is older than the church itself, and was also dedicated to it. In 1843 it was supplemented by a painting of St. John of Nepomuk and a statue of St. Anne and St. Jachy. The side altar with Baroque columns carries the painting of St. Linhart and the younger statue of St. Prokop and Florian. The opposite side altar dates back to the middle of the 18th century, i.e. from the previous period, and depicts the Immaculate Virgin Mary with additional statues of St. John Nepomuk and St. Wenceslas. A set of three bells was inventoried in the church in 1918. The largest and oldest of them dates back to 1699 and is believed to have originally been part of another church. He was a craftsman in Prague by Antonín Schönfeld. The organ was made for the church by the Krumlov organist Franz Jüstl, which gave the church a quality musical equipment.

The Church of the Holy Name Jesus still retains its historical form and represents an example of Czech sacral classical architecture, which is worth rediscovering.

The Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus in Křišťanov is a subsidiary church of the Roman Catholic parish of Zbytiny. Until the end of 2019, it was a parish church for the Křišťanov parish, which was then dissolved. The building is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The church was built in 1798 and 1799 in the classical style and was consecrated on November 17, 1799. In 1843 it was repainted. Three years later, the sacristy received an additional floor, which housed a separate oratory.

It is a single-nave oriented building, that is, with the chancel facing east. A narrower presbytery follows the nave, enclosed on three sides. The western façade has a low vestibule in the middle and is topped by a small wooden tower with a mansard roof. The nave is covered with a gabled roof. The presbytery, sacristy and vestibule have hip roofs and the roofing is everywhere shingled. The façades are smooth, articulated only by windows and a coloured emphasized fascia cornice.

Inside there is a flat ceiling. The nave is 14.9 metres long and 9.4 metres wide. In its western part stands a wooden gallery supported by four wooden pillars, on the east a triumphal arch separates it from the presbytery. The chancel is 8.1 metres deep and 6.5 metres wide. From the north a two-storey sacristy adjoins it. It is the only vaulted space in the church and features a barrel vault with lunettes.

The main altar is Rococo and dates from the time of the church's founding. In 1843 a painting of Saint John of Nepomuk was added to it, along with statues of Saint Anne and Saint Joachim. One of the side altars is Baroque and columned. It bears a painting of Saint Linhart and younger statues of Saint Prokop and Saint Florian. The opposite side altar from the mid-eighteenth century has a painting of the Immaculate Virgin Mary and younger statues of Saint John of Nepomuk and Saint Wenceslaus.

In 1918 there were three bells in the church. The oldest and also the largest of them dated from 1699 and was cast in Prague by Antonín Schönfeld. It apparently reached Křišťanov from another church. The organ was built by the Krumlov organbuilder Franz Jüstl.
