You are standing in Kročehlav near Kladno, in an area that immediately engulfs you with its calm atmosphere. Look around you and see this green space that is spreading out in front of you. You may already feel the pace of your day beginning to change, how your mind relaxes. This park is not just an ordinary green area; It is a place with a deep identity that will constantly surprise you with its details if you look at them carefully.

But in order to understand why this place is so special and why you feel a sense of the past, we need to go back together for decades. In front of you is a territory that had a completely different form in the past. Already in 1961, the zoo worked here. Imagine those times when people would come here to watch exotic animals, when families would spend Sunday afternoons here, and when this place was a symbol of the proximity of wildlife in the heart of the human estate. Although time passed and the composition of this place changed, the spirit of the original zoo remained rooted here. This transformation from the classic zoo to the modern, revitalized park was not just a change of use, but it was a way to preserve the memory of animals and nature, while creating a new, modern oasis for relaxation and education.

Now pay attention to what you see right around you. If you look at how the entire space is designed, you will notice the thought of every detail. This modern look, which you now perceive, is the result of an extensive reconstruction that took place around 2017. The whole project was prepared by architect Jan Červený. His vision was not only to create a park, but to create a space that would have its own soul and a clear aesthetic form. The architecture of this place does not seek to dominate nature, but rather to supplement it. Note how roads, green areas and artistic elements are connected to attract you to walk and to constantly discover new corners of this complex.

And this is where we come to the most amazing thing you can see in this park. Now, if you look at the benches that you find here, remember, they're not just ordinary pieces of furniture for rest. They're real artwork. The dominance of the whole park is ceramic sculptures of animals, which were placed here during reconstruction. These sculptures are not only for immediate admiration, but also for practical function - they serve as benches on which you can sit, relax and be in direct contact with art.

These fascinating creatures are the work of sculptor Alexandra Cupcake. Her work in this park is absolutely crucial. The pie was able to capture the nature of the animals so sensitively in ceramics that even when it is an artistic representation, you can feel life and movement in each line. It's a fascinating connection between an artist and the everyday use of space. When you sit on a bench like this, you become part of this art world. It's a very personal experience you won't find in regular parks.

But now I want to invite you to a little discovery, something you may not see at first sight, but what makes this park really educational. Access one of these ceramic statues, one of the benches, and look at it closely. Notice what's written on her front page. You will see the name of the animal in our native Czech language. It's simple, clear and friendly. But now I call you to a small experiment. Shake the statue, take a few steps and look at its back. There's a little science test for you. On the back of the statues is the scientific, Latin name of the animal. This small but brilliant detail links entertainment to learning and reminds us that even in relaxation we can constantly discover new information about the world that surrounds us. It is a beautiful way to educate visitors in the spirit of the original zoo, but in a much more modern and non-violent form.

This park is therefore a place where history of 1961 meets the modern architecture of Jan Red and the art of Alexandra Koláčková. It's where education becomes part of rest. Every statue, every bench, and every journey here has its purpose and its story.
