The railway station Zábřeh na Moravě is a key transport link in the Šumperk district, founded in the middle of the 19th century. This historical monument is located on the route between Česká Třerov and Přerov and serves as a turn to Šumperk.

The construction started in 1843 and was completed at the same time as the Olomouc-Prague sections, which was part of the North State Railway. The station was festively opened on 20 August 1845 by passing the train under the direction of engineer Jan Perner, who was involved in the design of the entire line.

The shipping building, designed by Anton Jüngling and built by A. D. Fleischmanna, was completed in 1845. A single-storey brick structure with a rectangular floor plan has a valb roof. Its street side is decorated with a risalite with four Tuscan pillars and a low volute ledge of aetika. The facade with nine window axes has a belt rustic, while the ground-floor windows are finished with a half-circle wedge. It was originally connected to a wall platform hall of 74 metres in length, but it was demolished in 1871. In 1927 there was an extension of the building with restaurant and waiting rooms, the project was realized by Josef Hockeborn and Hynk Janů from Moravian Zábřeh.

On the other hand, there was a complex of Anton Jüngling designed buildings, which included a water and locomotive draw. The water plant was later replaced by a newer object and after demolition of the water tower in 1993 part of the complex was converted into a residential house.

Near the station the Klein brothers built a large empirical warehouse that served for the storage of goods, mail and as a residence for employees. During the reconstruction of the corridor, the exterior appearance was restored according to historical documents.

The station went through several stages of ownership: it belonged to the North State Railway when it was put into operation, which was taken over by the Austrian Railway Company (StEG) in 1854. In 1872 the line to Šumperk was transferred to the Moravian border track, which was nationalized in 1895. In 1909, the Imperial-Royal State Railway (kkStB) took over the operation and, after the founding of Czechoslovakia, the station switched to the Czechoslovak State Railways. The regular operation of electric trains started here in 1959.

Today the station is part of the first railway corridor with a maximum speed of 160 km / h. During the reconstruction in the years 2005- 2006, a new glass check-in hall with clock tower was built in the pre-station, where the inn and post office used to stand. The station is a key historical point on a map of Moravian transport linking industrial development to modern infrastructure, making it interesting for a visit.
