Zemědělský dvůr Chaby čp. 1 in Prague, in the local part of the Chaba village Třebonice, is a protected real estate cultural monument with medieval and Renaissance core. The area consists of a group of residential buildings, economic buildings and garden features. The whole complex represents an important example of the historical agricultural economy.
There are limited reports of the oldest history of the building. However, it is documented that the court has a medieval and Renaissance core.
The main residential house on the south side of the yard is a two-storey house with a slightly trapezoidal floor plan and a saddle-rolled roof. The characteristic is a semi-cylindrical risalite with a cimmer adjacent to the south side of the building. The eastern part consists of a single-storey house with a residential attic. Its southern part of the quarry stone comes from the Baroque, while the northern part is a younger date. The west side consists of three adjacent buildings with a saddle roof, which in the south is boarded up.
The bunk granary with a rectangle in the plan is plastered from the sputum and covered with a valb roof. The smooth facade carries the remains of architecturally broken polychromia. The entrance consists of a stone portal with preserved original doors. There's a brick barn along the northern border of the property with a similar roof. Its facades cover rough plasterings divided into fields of polished frames.
The wall was created in different times from different materials. The oldest part is located at the northeast corner of the barn. A large fruit orchard is located south of the residential building in a slightly sloping terrain. There is a pond, playground and tennis court in the fenced garden.
The Chaby area is a valuable witness to the development of rural construction thanks to its architectural layery and preserved elements. The visit allows to observe the connection of various epoch from the Middle Ages to newer modifications.

Tips for visitors
For the best observations of Renaissance and medieval elements we recommend a visit at a time when the sun is below, i.e. early morning or just before sunset. Such light best highlights historical details of buildings.
You can get to the memory by car or public transport.
For a walk around the historical core we recommend taking drinking water and shoes suitable for uneven terrain. If you want to take quality photos, the best places for shots are in the golden hour.
Families with children can use a quiet environment to observe old architecture. Since there are no other attractions listed in the immediate surroundings, we recommend paying attention to the courtyard itself.

Seasonal recommendations
Seasonal recommendations for visiting historical monuments Monuments: Zemědělský dvůr Chaby čp. 1 (others), Třebonice
In the spring, the surroundings of the yard awaken and the colors are getting more lively. The light is soft and pleasant in this period, which ideally highlights the details of the historical building. I recommend wearing clothes that can be layered because the weather is uncertain. It's the best time for a quiet observation of nature without large groups of people.
In summer there are the most sunny hours and vegetation is in full bloom. The atmosphere is alive, but high temperatures can make it hot. It's best to come first thing in the morning to avoid the biggest crowds and hot sun. Don't forget the headgear and enough water to freshen up.
Autumn brings golden and brown shades of leaves and often soothing morning mist to the landscape. The atmosphere becomes melancholic and the light is low, which is great for photography. It is advisable to carry a waterproof jacket and shoes with good grip because the soil can be wet and slippery.
In winter time it is very quiet and the space is almost deserted. If snow falls, the monument gets a completely different, white look. Days are short, which is why I recommend planning a visit in the morning. It is necessary to have very warm clothes and solid shoes in case of frost or snow.
