Monuments – Frýdek

Frýdek je historické město s bohatou minulostí, nacházející se jako část obce Frýdku-Místku. Založeno na počátku 14. století těšínským knížetem Kazimírem I., prošlo mnoha změnami majitelů a politických událostí, které ovlivnily jeho vývoj. Přes svou turbulentní historii se Frýdek vypracoval na centrum frýdecko-místeckého panství, což zvýšilo jeho ekonomický a strategický význam. Dnes je památkově chráněná oblast s pěti hlavními památkami, které svědčí o bohatém kulturním dědictví této části Slezska.
