Terezín je pevnostní město ve středních Čechách, nacházející se dva kilometry jihovýchodně od Litoměřic. Rozkládá se na obou březích řeky Ohře a má významné historické kořeny sahající do 18. století, kdy byla založena jako obranná pevnost. Dnes je znám svou městskou památkovou rezervací a národní kulturní památkou Malá pevnost se hřbitovem. Město má přibližně 2 850 obyvatel a je propojeno s okolím silnicí II/608, která na severozápadním okraji města napojuje na silnici I/15. Terezín zahrnuje tři sousední vesnice: České Kopisty, Nové Kopisty a Počaply.
