The men's house in Nebráziny, which is part of the city Plasy in the district of Pilsen-North, is a Baroque building built in 1723 for Matthew Ondřej Kondel. This building reminds us of the former importance of the monastery and since 19 September 2000 it has been protected as a cultural monument. His history dates back to his position as a monk's summer residence, to his purchase by Abbot Celestin Werner, to his use as the first machinery parketarium in the Habsburg monarchy. Today only part of the original complex with Baroque roof, classicist windows and decorative parquet was preserved.

The house was built in 1723 for Matìj Ondřej Kondel, builder of the monastery in Plasi. He built the house on land donated by Abbot Evzen Tyttle and with the right to extract wood from the monastery forests. At the time of its inception, there was a reform of Josephin to modernise and rationalise the Roman Catholic Church. These reforms also affected the life of monasteries in the Czech Republic, which showed changes in the administration and use of their property.

The house is an example of baroque style. The original complex included, in addition to the house itself, several farm buildings and a large garden which, however, was not preserved. Today, the house stands on a rectangular plan with a saddle roof and bobbies. Its facade is decorated with a stone edge with a year of building, classicist windows and a cordon ledge. In the house there is an almost intrinsically preserved baroque cross and decorative parquet with ornamental motifs.

The ownership of the mansion has undergone several changes. After Matìj Ondrej Kondel bought it in 1785 by the last plastic abbot Celestin Werner who inherited the house from his niece Terezie Güterischová and her husband. In 1834 the object of the purchase of Martin Karel Brabec and Antonín Theodor Spieler, which operated the floor factory, which burned down in 1840. The factory worked in the building until 1878.

The house has an interesting history associated with the first machinery parketarium in the Habsburg monarchy that worked here. The house was severely degraded by non-professional interventions and reconstructions for economic purposes (seniors, garages), but still preserved part of its original architecture. The entrance room is arched by a vaulted vault with lunettes and triangular sections, while in the center of the house there was a representative room with ceiling illusory painting.

Today the house is a cultural monument and its history and architecture attract visitors. His understanding of the past of monastery property, as well as baroque elements and classicist windows, which were inventoried by the National Heritage Institute in 2016, makes it an interesting destination for historically curious tourists. The house is worth visiting not only as a reminder of the past, but also as a witness to changes over the centuries.

Welcome to Nebula. Right now, you're standing in front of a building that carries the incredible power of ancient times and is a living witness to the transformations that this country has been going through for centuries. In front of your eyes is the Manor House, a baroque object that immediately draws attention to its presence in the landscape and brings about a sense of dignity. Feel the atmosphere of peace that still persists here, and imagine how this house worked at the time of its creation, when it was part of a much wider world that was closely connected to a nearby monastery in Spain. This building is not just a wall and a roof, it is a story about faith, about power, about human effort, and about the unexpected turns of fate that have taken place here.

Now let's go back deep into the past together to understand how this house came into being. Imagine 1723. The world around us was completely different at that time, the rhythm of life determined the seasons and the church bell. It was in this very important year that this building was born. Its creator and builder was Matěj Ondřej Kondel, a man whose name is inextricably linked to this place. The house wasn't built for nothing, it had a profound meaning. At that time he served as a summer residence for monks. Imagine those quiet summer days where there was a search for refuge from the heat, where time was spent here in prayer, in peace and near nature. This house was a symbol of the connection between the spiritual life of the monastery and the beauty of the surrounding landscape of Nebrázin.

Now pay attention to the very form of the construction you are currently observing. Even if you don't have to focus on every little detail, try to perceive the overall harmony and shapes that are so typical of baroque style. The Baroque architecture was not just about construction, it was about expressing strength, nobility and certain dynamics. If you look at the facade or the overall structure of the building, notice how baroque shapes try to take over space and create an impression of wealth and stability. This object was designed to reflect the importance of the monastery and its influence on this territory. It's an architecture that talks about a time when everything was done with great emphasis and respect for future generations.

However, the history of this place is much more complex than it might seem at first glance, because there are completely different worlds. After a period of calm and a monk's presence, there was a time when ownership of the house changed. The house was later purchased by Abbot Celestin Werner, which again resembles strong ties between this building and the church power. His niece Terezie Güterischová also entered the story, which shows that the house has also become part of a private, family heirloom. These figures, along with other names such as Evžen Tyttl, Martin Karel Brabec or Antonín Theodor Spieler, form the human fabric from which this house is utkan. Each of these names represents one chapter, one human experience that took place in these walls.

Now, however, we must move forward several centuries in time and prepare ourselves for something that would probably seem absolutely incredible to monks at the time of their summer residence. Imagine a sudden change of atmosphere. Instead of silence and prayer, there began to be noise of machines and rhythmic blows of work. In the nineteenth century, a huge turnaround took place in this house. This building stopped being just a place of rest and spiritual peace and became the heart of the industrial revolution in this area. This is where the first machinery parquet in the entire Habsburg monarchy worked. It's a fascinating idea that in a place that was once the summer residence of the monks, machines making wooden floors began to rumble for the whole vast empire. This contrast between spiritual peace and industrial energy is one of the greatest treasures this house has to offer.

You may now wonder how this house has behaved until today. It's because its meaning was recognized in modern times. It is interesting that this building, which has undergone so many changes, has been officially registered as a cultural monument since 19 September 2000. This means that its history, its architecture and its importance to all of us are now protected from oblivion. It's a commitment that we give to future generations so that they can stand here, like you, and feel the same weight of history.

When you look at this object, you realize you're facing something that survived the king, the emperor, and the revolution. The house in Nebraska is a symbol of the ability to change, while maintaining its essence. The summer residence of the monks became an industrial center and finally a rare historical treasure. It's a fascinating journey this house has taken.

Now I urge you to continue your walk and pay attention to the surrounding environment surrounding this house. Let the Nebrázin atmosphere drift away and try to find traces of the people who lived here, worked and dreamed in every part of this landscape. Thank you for spending this moment with this recording and for choosing to know this amazing piece of history. I wish you a beautiful further journey in the footsteps of the past.

Themed route

1. Panský dům (Nebřeziny), historical building, you will see interesting architecture and appearance of the whole building. 2. The tank, open space, offers the possibility to observe the details of the building closely in a quiet environment. 3. Seasonal recommendations

In the spring, the surrounding area wakes up and trees and bushes begin to bloom around the building, creating a fresh and lively atmosphere. The light is scattered at this time and very natural. It is advisable to prepare a combination of clothes that can be easily added or removed because the weather is variable. The best place to visit is in the morning when nature is most active.

The summer season is characterized by intense sun and rich greenery surrounding the building. The atmosphere is warm and energetic. For a pleasant stay I recommend you wear light clothes and have water with you. The best time to observe the details of architecture is late afternoon, when the sun's rays are not so sharp and the colors are more rich.

Autumn brings gold and red to the landscape, which gives the whole place a nostalgic touch. The frequent fog creates a mystical mood, and the softness engulfs the surrounding spaces. I recommend to choose practical, waterproof clothes and shoes suitable for wet travel. For the best lighting conditions is the ideal time around noon, when the leaf colours most excel.

Zimą is a quiet and rough atmosphere, with emphasis on the shapes of the building in contrast to bare trees. The day is short, so it is important to arrive in clear hours so that the object is not in shadow. It is necessary to wear strong layers of clothing to protect you from the cold. The freezing air and calm of this period offer a completely different, meditative view of history.
