Český Krumlov je historické město na Šumavském podhůří, známé bohatou architekturou a kulturologickým významem. Nachází se 22 kilometrů jihozápadně od Českých Budějovic a má přibližně 12 tisíc obyvatel. Město, které bylo dříve sídlem vlivných českých rodin jako Rožmberků a Schwarzenbergů, je chráněno městskou památkovou rezervací od roku 1963 a patří mezi světové kulturní dědictví UNESCO.
