Karlín je městská čtvrť a katastrální území v Praze 8, nacházející se v údolní nivě Vltavy mezi Libní a Novým Městem. Historicky založené na Špitálském poli jako pražské předměstí v roce 1817, Karlín prošlo transformacemi od samostatného města v letech 1903–1921 až po svou integraci do Velké Prahy v roce 1922. Přestože se setkalo s historickými záplavami a švédským obléháním, které zničilo mnoho stavebních objektů, vyvinul svou jedinečnou identitu díky výstavbě Invalidovny a rozvoji hospodářských usedlostí. Dnes je čtvrť známá svou historickou architekturou, což potvrzuje přítomnost původních památek v naší databázi.
